Privacy Policy

Your reflections are the most private thing you’ll ever type. This page explains what happens to the little we actually hold.

Draft — not yet final. This is a working draft written in plain language so you can read it. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and a Canadian privacy lawyer needs to review it (for PIPEDA and BC PIPA) before Mend launches. Don’t rely on it as a final legal document. Last updated 15 October 2026.

In one line: the only thing this website collects is the email address you give the waitlist. No logs, no journals, no tracking that follows you around the web.

What we collect today

Mend is currently a set of information pages and a waitlist. The only personal information collected is:

  • Your email address, if you choose to join the waitlist. It’s passed to a form-handling service so we can email you updates about Mend’s development and availability.

That’s the entire list. We don’t ask for your name, your children’s information, or anything about what happens in your home.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell, rent, or trade your email address.
  • We don’t use your information to train any AI model.
  • We don’t run advertising trackers, third-party ad pixels, or cross-site profiling on this website.
  • We don’t share your address with other companies for their marketing.

What joining the waitlist means

Joining means you’ll receive updates about Mend’s development and availability. It isn’t a purchase and it doesn’t guarantee access to a beta or early release. How often updates are sent hasn’t been decided.

The app (when it exists)

The Mend app isn’t built yet, so it collects nothing from you today. The intention is that your logs (what set you off, and how big it felt) would be encrypted at rest, never sold, never used to train anything, and exportable and deletable by you. That paragraph will be rewritten into a precise, lawyer-reviewed policy before the app ships. Until then, treat it as a statement of intent, not a guarantee.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email only until the waitlist has served its purpose or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. If you join and then decide you’d rather not be on the list, we’ll delete your address.

Deleting your information

Ask to be removed by writing from the address you signed up with: a contact address will be published here before the waitlist opens. We’ll delete it and confirm.

Where it’s processed

Your email is processed by a form-handling service, which may store it on servers outside Canada. Before the waitlist opens, this section will name that provider and where it holds data.

Children

Mend is for parents and other caregivers — adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

When this becomes a final, lawyer-reviewed policy, the draft banner above will be removed and the date updated. Any material change will be reflected here.

Contact

Questions about privacy go to one person: a contact address will be published here before the waitlist opens. Mend is based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada.
